Every game I watch at least 1 stick blows up from a slash or shot. I would think it would be bad for sales. Has anyone out there heard of new tecnology? If so, what company? How do I find info about them.

This IS the new technology! All the design has gone into a harder and accurate shot. That is a light stick that bends and adds whip to the shot. Apparently the professional players don't mind as they keep using them and using them. But I can't say I have noticed a player break a stick more than once in a game. So the trade off is something like I can have a 10% harder shot but one shot every 2 to 4 games will be wasted as the stick will break.

They should be able to start figuring out how long a stick lasts them, or what makes it break, and toss it for a new one just before that point.

Advice to anyone not in the NHL - stick to the cheaper low tech sticks until you get a contract that has someone else paying for your equipment. And I don't mean your parents.

Working at a fast food place does not mean you dropped out of school or your just plain lazy. Should start around min wage then have decent raises if you deserve it. Some people work very hard and others lol just let every one else to the work and eventually get fired.ya Mc D's is a billion dollar chain because they pay less. Benefits that it a tricky ? some sort of pkg should be available. ma and pa operated places usually just make enough to see a little profits and some only last a yr or two if lucky. so those kind of jobs only take if ya need a summer job or to make a little extra. I do not think you should get pd 10.00 an hr but a decent wage for the job you do. Mc D is not a job you should think of making career out of. Some people won't work for minimum wage but their is always a teenager that will.

They could never make a stick that never breaks. If there did that players would get seriously hurt from taking a slash. Players want a stick that makes them shoot better and that is what they have now. They have to sacrifice there sticks breaking in order to have the best shot.

The sticks players use today are mostly composite shafts. They're designed to be lightweight and have much more flex than wood shafts. They're also a lot less durable than wood. I prefer a wood shaft because I like a heavier stick, and because they're cheaper. When you're in the NHL and you're not paying for sticks, I guess the $100+ composite stick is better.

They've tried non-breakable sticks but most players don't like them. They like the flex and feel of wood sticks. The teams are willing to pay for them, so why not?
