How do you like this:
4,5,Ace,7,8
Some people say it stands for straight. This is nuts! Is that possible in any kind of poker?

No. It has to be A-2-3-4-5 or 10-J-Q-K-A. That's it.

No.

Now in Paigow poker, there is one joker in the deck, so the deck uses 53 cards. The joker can be used as one of the following

1 - An Ace
2 - Any card to complete a straight - like 4,5, JOKER,7,8
3 - Any card to complete a flush - if you have 4 diamonds, you can use the joker as the 5th diamond

A joker cannot be used in this case to make a pair other than a pair of aces. So if you have 4, 7, 8, 10, Joker -- the Joker would be an Ace

Maybe this is what your friend was thinking of

No, an ace can only be played after a king in a straight combo, unless, for some reason, your dealer calls aces wild.

No, you can't do that. That's totally against the rules.
