I disagree. The government has no control over what I like, what I do, who I know, what car I drive, what shows I watch, what music I listen to. They can't tell me where to work, how much I can make. Only thing they really do is tax me and enforce the laws. So long as I pay my taxes and don't break laws the government will not interfere with my life.

They have no control over me. I can go where I wish and do what I want. I can watch any television channel I want or listening to any channel on the radio. I can walk along the street without identification, I can choose what type of car I drive. What kind of controls are you referring to? Can I yell fire in a crowed theater? No I can't. You are as free as you allow yourself to be.
