i have installed a registry cleaner and made a backup of my registry and after cleaning i uninstalled the software. now i want to restore the registry. is it possible?pls help me.

It will not be possible using that registry cleaner. You may get lucky using your system restore.
Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>System Restore.
Now pick a date in bold before you ran the registry cleaner.

You have to re-install the software you used to make the backup.

for windows xp, it is. just click on 'start,' then on 'all programs,' and the on 'accesories,' and then on system tools, and then on system restore. you can restore your system to the condiotion it was in, for example, last week
