It just seems nobody wants to give this team props when all they do is win. Who cares if it is the NFC...who cares if it isn't pretty with a high scoring offense; they play the teams they are scheduled for and win with 3 phases of the game - offense, defense and special teams-if one unit is down it seems the other picks them up. After 18 games of continually demonstrating this how could could people be so definitive that they will lose? I personally think it is an ignorant thought, however, I am open to reasons of substance...

Chicago's sports teams are rarely given credit. When the White Sox were kicking a*s, everyone said they'd choke. Everyone doubted the Bears last year, and they were better than most teams. This year, same deal except now people have to take notice. Brian Urlacher keeps getting dubbed overrated, and he proves game after game how underrated he really is. The Cubs . . . . let's not go there.

If you want further evidence, just listen to how that self-important moron Howie Long talks about the Bears. He rarely gives them credit for anything. Same thing with Joe Buck. Buck even went so far last week to suggest Lovie Smith didn't know what he was talking about in terms of the condition of the field. In fact, he said, "I don't care what Lovie Smith says . . . ."

A lot of times, the media has an East coast bias (see The Patriots and their fawning over Tom Brady). Then, there's New Orleans and how special would it have been for the media if they could do inspirational story after inspirational story about the city devastated by Katrina and how much hope the Saints give them. Yeah, because a team winning the Superbowl builds new houses and puts food on the table.

Just face it. They won't even get respect if they win (and I think they will). Even though the Colts are a Midwest team, Manning is already a media darling. Think of the deals that could made with Superbowl winning quarterback Manning endorsing your product!

Plain fact, they are not as good as they are lucky and yes sometimes being lucky is better than being good and for this team that is the reason they have won the games they did, like the Cards, they gave the game away, they were beating the living daylights out of them. Look at there schedule and they played 3 .500 teams and the rest were below. Look in the Saints game they marched down to the 1 yard line 3 times and got 9 points and this was against the Saints defense a kinda weak defense. If the Colts loose to the Bears I will have to assume the game was fixed to start with.

If you remember last year's SuperBowl when the Steelers were favored to win by 3 (a Field Goal) & they went on to win 21-10 over the Seahawks. The Colts are favored to win the SuperBowl by 7 (a Touchdown) due to the fact they made it all the way through the Post-Season by beating the Chiefs in a Wild Card Game, the Ravens in a Divisional Playoff Game, winning by 5 Field Goals, & the AFC Championship Game by coming back from behind at halftime to beat the Patriots 38-34. They're favored to win the SuperBowl due to Peyton Manning & the Colts Offense & they could easily trampled Brian Urlacher & the Bears Defense. All in all, it's the team that can win it all!

Why do Bears people keep saying that nobody is giving them the props? I mean, I have heard NOTHING about it. You guys might be the underdogs in terms of the spread (+7), but in terms of the public eye, the Bears aren't the underdogs. Stop crying because many broadcasters consider "Bears are the best in the NFC but Colts are the not best in the AFC; Chargers fans, Ravens fans, and Patriots fans SHOULD be mad about this" (Deion Sanders - NFL channel). So, stop acting the victims here!! Oh yeah! and read other people's responses about the Bears D and Hester and Jones and Grossman and blah blah blah! ~ Whiners!!

Well, any given Sunday.

Both these teams made it this far. Both have a chance. I believe that chance is even. Defense could cancel out Manning. Manning could overpower the defense. Grossman could shine again and Manning could crumble.

You NEVER know.

My money is on the Bears. But just barely.

Let them think that way and they could be eating crow on Feb 5th. Most of them said the Saints would be the Bears..and the Bears havebben proving them wrong in the playoffs...I just wish they would made a Super Bowl Reshuffle

Because, the colts have the amazing talent of their simply astounding quarterback: Peyton Manning. The colts are also more rounded than the bears in their offense. the bears have a good defense, but Rex Grossman can't throw as well as some other quarterbacks and that hinders their chances of defeating Indianapolis.

i think of it extremely is an somewhat solid prediction and it might desire to take place. yet you're underestimating the Broncos and Jets who might desire to be the the two or 3 communities interior the NFL and AFC. besides as you placed the Raiders and Texans and green bay. communities that had o.ok.season final 365 days yet did no longer upload any expertise to the group. they are going to all have the comparable or comparable information than final 365 days. The Jets and Broncos have large new expertise and different key issues. different clever this seems solid and prefer I mentioned it extremely is possibly and exciting to work out unfold.

Its more of a known fact than an assumption. The Bears had the 3rd easest schedule in the league, barely beat some awful teams, they have a good defense but not as good as some think, They have a VERY unstable QB that can self-destruct at any moment, and they face the toughest team they have played all year. Colts win with ease.
