I'm really picky about comedies. I don't like dumb comedies like Dumb and Dumber and I don't like stuff like Super Troopers or Reno 911. I can't stand most of the spoof movies like Scary Movie and Epic Movie. However, I love movies like The Wedding Crashers or The 40 Year-Old Virgin. And I generally like romantic comedies. I also like things like Back to the Future or Indiana Jones that blend comedy with something else. In general, I think the best comedies are those where there is a real story with a real plot and comedy is mixed in rather than movies with the thinnest thread of a plot which mainly serves to movie the action from one gag to the next.

My favorite comedy is Big Man On Campus. From your list I would have to say Cheaper By The Dozen, 10 Things I Hate About You and The Whole Nine Yards.

My favourites (from your list) are the only ones I've seen in that list and they are;
1) School Of Rock
2) 50 First Dates
3) Forrest Gump
4) 10 Things I Hate About You
5) The Breakfast Club (if only for the sad 80s dance scene and the dandruff snow scene)
Of the rest I've only seen American Pie but I thought it was absolute crap (didn't laugh once)

The Breakfast Club is by the best comedy out of all of those. 50 First Dates isn't bad either, then Along Came Polly. Other than that, I'm not too fond of those types of comedies. I reccommend Pretty In Pink.

None actually, I loved Forrest Gump but its not so much a comedy. 13 going on 30 was a nice feel good movie. I think Airheads is just very very funny, Adam Sandler is really good!

I noticed you don't have 'the big lebowski' on your list. That is one of the best of any type of movie of all time. Also, I didn't know forest gump was considered a comedy. I guess now that I think about it, the part where Bubba dies is pretty funny, and then leutenant Dan loses his legs, or Forests girlfiend dies of Aids, or when his mom dies! Man, I can't pick which part is funnier.

My favourite comedy movie is "Saddo". It's about a girl called Vicky who is obsessed witrh Jimmy Fallon. Very sad, but funny at the same time.
