What do U think of the Isaiah Washington/ TR Knight sitch? Does Washington need counseling just b/c he called?

Knight a f****t? Or is there something deeper going on that we don't know?

I think Washington should look at this from TR's perspective. How would he feel if Dempsey, knowing that Washington was standing right there, told TR that he wasn't his N****R. And then how would Washington feel when, first, all the White people in the cast and crew denied that it happened, second, Dempsey went on national TV and clearly said, "No, I did not call Washington a N****r", and third, once Dempsey was shown to be a liar, was not fired and Washington was told to just accept the apologize and keep working with Dempsey.

In real life, if I called Washington a N****R in my workplace, or Sandra Oh a C**T or C***K, I would be fired and my career would be torpedoed and no one would be on my side.

Does Isaiah Washington need counseling? Probably...should entering counseling save his job. NOPE! He was given a chance once and he apologized publicly and he turns around and does it again.

There needs to be serious consequences for actions. He should lose his job. Recast the role, kill the character off....what ever it takes. But this constant foot in the mouth conditions needs to be resolved.

Everyone is guarentee the freedom of speech...but not at the cost of another persons freedoms.

i think Washington should probably be let go bc him and Knight probably cant work together any more. but Washington does NOT need counseling. i know he shouldnt had said those things out loud but people act like he drowned a baby or something. He said he was sorry to the guy and to the show, that's enough.

Washington is creating a hostile and uncomfortable work enviroment for Knight, and I really can't say how that should be dealt with...I wouldn't go as far to firing him, but he should definately take a class on tolerance or something...

The last time I checked I was in the USA, which has something called the Constitution, which has a saying in it.......let me see if I can remember this, um, it's something about the Freedom of Speech in it. Geez Louize! You have GOT to be freekin' kidding me! Apologize and going to couseling for calling someone a name????? This limp wristed, panty-waisted, whiney crowd has got to go! I guess Freedom of Speech only means that certain "groups" get to use it and the rest of us don't.
