Everytime we turn on my fiance's Playstation 2 it just goes to the memory card. We can't get any of the games to go to their start screen. We have tried resetting/restarting and have even unplugged. We have also taken out the memory card, but none of that works. Any suggestions?

You can try to buy a cheap $10 CD cleaner and run it through there until it cleans. It may just be a little dirty, but other than that you may need some pro help.

If you have a disk read error on your playstation 2 console buy a dvd lens cleaning kit for under 12 dollars. Insert the cleaning disk cd into the ps2 system and let it clean. It may take one or two cleanings to fully work. Then clean once a month by repeating the above steps.

the green light (reset button). If you did that, normally I would say the discs are scratched, but since its all of them, im pretty sure its the laser that's broken, making it impossible for the ps2 (which works like a computer) to read the discs.

maybe the CD is too scratched up. try putting in a different game cd and c if that works, if it doesnt that means the drive itself is the problem...

I don't know, my ps2 is 4 years old and I've had no problem with it.
