Found stone head with hieroglyphic writing on it. Found 65 years ago along French Creek in Pa. It measures 8" long and 4" wide at forehead down to 2 1/2" wide at chin and 4 1/2" thick. It has 5 symbols on forehead. Appears to be the face of a man. Photos are available if anyone is interested.

Hieroglyphics are much like Chinese. They can be written left to right, right to left, up and down or backwards.

There are also supposed to be caves inside the Grand Canyon with Hieroglyphics on them, but they are in an area "outside" of visitors permission.

Also, look for a book called "Out of Time and Space" edited by Terry O'Neill, it talks about ALOT of these objects. Including bells and necklaces buried 120 feet down, that were brought up by drilling rigs, red haired giants over 9 feet tall (families of them) buried together in mausoleums' throughout the U.S. from Arizona to Minnesota, etc.

The Cherokee had an alphabet and written language, but several other Native American tribes did have some sort of hieroglyphic form of written communication. I would send a picture of it to the Smithsonian for examination you may have found something of significance.

During the history of ancient Egypt there was a split between empires. This is due to use of hieroglyphics and different symbols. Your necklace is probably the one language (sanskirt) that hasn't been able to be decipher

Don't really know much about hieros, but I do know discoveries have been made that confirm the presence of Phoenicians some 5000 years B-C in northern USA! Upstate NY and Vermont area I believe. I would say nothing about the item -or as little as possible- and take your find to an archaeologist at a local university or college and let it be examined. BUT I would NOT let it out of my sight!! Many items and "finds" have simply gotten "lost" in the shuffle! Truth sometimes hurts!

I would very much like to see your pics, email me as to where I can see them. Thanks.

The language of that area was Algonquian by the Shawnee and Iroquois nations. True to form hieroglyphs are not native to that area. Whatever it is it's probably extremely valuable. Good luck.

Being that Egyptology was popular at this time, it is most likely a forgery.....either that or it is one big elaborate joke.
