many ancient myths have a "tree of life"
at some time or other, in one culture or another

the oak, myrtle, pine, bamboo, ash, yew...and many others

for other myths

the tree itself wasn't as important as the placement...
planting [minimum of 2] a row of trees to align with the spring equinox, or [evergreens] to align with the winter solstice...

happy planting
