I knew a guy who wouldn't let anyone date his daughter until he found out how much their income was. The only way he'd accept having a son in law was if the boy had a college education and made more than $50,000 a year. People do strange things because of money, it's no secret. But there are people out there who can love based on being true. I'm not rich at all, far from it actually, but me and my fiancee, who can't work because of medical reasons, love each other for our personalities, not because of money. If money was an issue between us, we'd have split a long time ago. So yeah, there are people who base their relationships only on money, and there are many, many reason for it, too many to list, but then again, there are those who can love each other regarless of income.

Some people mean that when they say it, others are fooling themselves. Love doesn't cost money, but money is still neccessary to live in this society, and the lack of it creates stress.
Some people of course are greedier than others and consider money to be more important than love. Everyone is different. The sooner you understand that (and the importance of proper grammar) the better off you'll be.

Well unfortunately a sad fact of life IS "Money makes the wold go round". There's no getting away from it. Not everyone is like that though. There are some who go to extremes , some who don't think about it and who really don't care.
I myself have gone from one extreme to the other, but I have never judged an anther person for not having enough, but that's me.

Just because money doesn't matter to me, doesn't mean others feel the same way. Money can change things in a Godly way. It can do magic. People believe that having more will make them safe. It becomes an obsession

People also like to think they have integrity when they really don't.

well it doesn't in the relationship, but there are some girls who just want money. But not everyone wants that. they might want you to have a job so they know you are stable but not all girls want a guy for there money. I still don't know why girls are doing that it is degrading and they shouldn't be but we can't tell them how to live there life. oh and love doesn't cost anything but the maintenance to keep the love strong does a lot of the time. idk your situation but good luck with everything

The only money that does mean a thing is the money you need to keep yourself alive, the money for rent, electricity, food etc. If you are able to provide those to yourself you have no reason to leave somebody who's true and real for somebody who just has money. The individuals who date somebody just because they have money are pathetic individuals, both materialistic and co-dependent.

I don't know why people say that. As far as I'm concerned, if a person is actually broke, they're doing something wrong, which will most likely translate into the relationship and how they deal with it.
