Every night in bed I run my hands up and down my belly for a few minutes to say good night. Can it feel my hand this early? When is the earliest it could feel?

Probably not yet, but don't stop!! When I was pregnant I was always rubbing my hands up and down my stomache. After my son was born he would sometimes cry even though I had already fed and changed him. I would rub his back, and it would soothe him. Babies remember the feel of your hands, and it keeps them calm.

This is a good routine, as it means you're already bonding with your baby. Unfortunately, your baby can't feel your hand just yet. Your baby isn't even an inch big at this time and your uterus is just slightly above your pubic hair line.

When you start to feel your baby moving (about 20 weeks) and you press on your belly slightly, your baby will be able to feel that something is pressing down on it. You'll see this when you have an ultrasound. The sonographer usually presses on your belly slightly and you can see the baby respond to the intrusion.

By around 30 weeks, you'll be able to feel your baby's kicks and punches by laying your hand on your belly. And by this time, you can sometimes coax your baby to kick by pressing down on it's hand or feet (or whatever you feel you can touch).

If you can get your finger and manage to rub behind your pubic bone then maybe, but at 9 weeks your baby and uterus is still tucked safely behind your pubic bone and they won’t come out for a few weeks yet.

No, not this early but soon! I'd guess around 4 months of pregnancy.
