Expand (3X + 2Y)(2X - Y) use FOIL
(3x)(2X) + (-Y)(3X) + (2Y)(-2X) + (2Y)(-Y) or
6X^2 - 3XY -2XY -2Y^2 or
6x^2 - 5XY - 2Y^2

(3x + 2y)(2x - y)
Using F O I L
First (F) 3x x 2x = 6x^2
Outside(O) 3x x -y = -3xy
Inside(I) 2y x 2x = 4xy
Last(L) 2y x -y = -2y^2
Re-writing = 6x^2 - 3xy + 4xy - 2y^2
Collectimg like terms :-
6x^2 +xy - 2y^2
This is the simplified and expanded term.

First multiply 3x with thesecond bracket, then multiply 2x with they second bracket as well.
(3x + 2y)(2x - y)
=6x^2 - 3xy + 4xy - 2y^2
=6x^2 + xy - 2y^2
^2 means squared

3x (2x-y) +2y(2x-y)
6x^2 -3xy + 4xy -2y^2
6x^2 +xy -2y^2 = Ans.

(3x+2y)(2x-y)
1) (3x+2y)(2x-y)
= 6x^2 - 3xy + 4xy - 2y^2
= 6x^2 +xy - 2y^2
2) You could also look at it as:
(3x+2y)(2x-y)
= 3x(2x-y) + 2y(2x-y)
= 6x^2 -3xy + 4xy - 2y^2
= 6x^2 + xy - 2y^2

you have to use the FOIL rule here (first, outside, inside, last)
(3x+2y)(2x-y)
=6x^2+4yx-3xy-2y^2
=6x^2+yx-2y^2
