it extremely is a competent initiate in the direction of bringing Bush's pastime war to an end. It amazes me that individuals think of the Dems are estimated to offer an option. Congress passes rules and budgets, they do no longer set coverage. If Bush needs Dems to take a seat down in on each and every of the conferences of State, protection, Intel, and so on. so the Dems have get admission to to each shred of information that he has, then possibly the Dems can supply a plan. till then, the criticism of Dems for no longer having a plan is basically a hate radio conversing factor to inflame the ignorant.

Try the Baker Hamilton Plan, we spent enough tax dollars funding the program and research. They came up with a good plan. Not perfect. But it has a better chance of working than the present plan, which is already failed at least two times, just in Iraq.

Someone in the Senate needs to stand up and get some backbone and not only pass a useless resolution that Bush isn't going to recognize anyway but actually stop him in his tracks by stop paying for this senseless bloodshed.

Brush will try to push as much of his plan through as poss able, and the Senate will block as much as poss able. Other wise a tug of war over the WAR that we had no business being in in the first place. Either way our troops loose and we the people loose too.

Nothing. The President is the Commander in Chief and gives all orders to the military. Congress plays no role in this. They are simply trying to pass a resolution stating their opinion of what he is doing. They can't do anything about it.

That resolution is meaningless. All it does is takes all the blame off congress and lays it squarely on Bush. If the troop build up fails, it's solely Bush's fault.

The President can pretty much do what he needs to in order to support the troops and the war effort ALREADY authorized by congress. Just because the polls say they should retreat doesn't mean they should.
Congress asked the President to re-evaluate his mission in Iraq. He did, and now they don't support his re-evaluation, and I'm pretty sure if he said he's going to bring home every service man and woman today they would still not agree with him. Between the press and the democratic party they've eroded the important support that our military needs.
