A deer is a wild animal. Most cities have ordinances against keeping wild animals as pets. (Liability laws, danger to the deer and others, etc.)
The deer's head is what's kept and mounted, not the whole animal- usually.

Depending on where you live, it is not iilegal to keep them as pets, but you must have special permits. There are also laws that have to be followed to be allowed to mount them.

there are only certain places that you can hunt deers you can buy a reproduction and most are probibally fake
