Government Jobs Hiring Process

2016-11-06 20:03:36 · answer #2 · answered by ishman 4 · 0 0

Government job hiring process is very long for the other side. They have to score you on your responses, they have to get their supervisor to buy off on you and on up the chain of command. Then personnel gets hold of your application and they see if funding is available for another position-sometimes not. Government also has rules as to when they can offer you the job-usually th 1st or th 15th. They basically can decide not to hire you because of the side you part your hair on.

Because every hiring step needs to be revealed to public. If you got an interview and asked different salary that they set up before. Then they need to take the adjustment to the committee and be waiting for the approval. If they hold the topic till next month, then you have to wait one more month.
Keep in mind, they handle several topics on monthly committee, not only yours. And they also need to do daily job and collect enough info to the database.
EX: my aunt, applied a goverment jon on Jan. she got a Screen phone to double check was her on Mar. Then on APR she got an interview arrangement that scheduled on Aug. On Oct, she got a hire notice and finally she started to work on the next Jan. It's lasted one year to get a job.
The problem is the new job salary is 20k higher than the others' job opportunities. And others gave her hire notice eairly.
So do you want to wait or give up? you never know.......

This question is easy.

Government employees are very slow. They take a long time to do things, because they are just there to collect a salary. There is no need to be efficient because there is no competition. So the workers just plod along, if they do anything at all, and maybe they will get to your file eventually.

Yeah...it s a long process but I heard that if it takes a long time for them to contact you then it s good but don t wait too long. If they contact you right off then it s usually the you re not selected news.

Government jobs take a long time because they have to sort out thousands of applicants to find the truly mediocre individuals who are perfect for the jobs us taxpayers are paying them not to do.
