Maybe try Maxwell Christopher. It flows a little better. Or even Christopher Maxwell, but then your child would have the same first name as your husband, which may not work well.

I do like a longer version of Max with Christopher--Maxwell Christopher sounds good.
I have two nephews named Max; one is Maxwell and the other is Maximus (which I didn't like at first but has turned out to be cute).
