How old were you when you first heard about the pregnancy of a peer?

me: i was 13- pregnancy of another 13 yr old and a 15 yr old. now i'm 14- pregnancy of ANOTHER 14 yr old.

doesn't this just make you think?

I was 13 and my friend who got pregnant was 12, she is now 22 and still married to the guy that got her pregnant with no other kids.

I was about 16...we didn't have as many teen pregnancies when I was in high school. The ones that did get pregnant were usually 16 or 17, not 13 or 14 which seems to be more common now.

The whole thing makes me think I should lock my daughters up when the hormones start to kick in in a few years...

I was 15 yrs old when I heard of a peer of mine getting pregnant. She was 15 yrs old at the time and very popular in school. She waited until she was almost 4 months along before telling her parents. And, she did not know who the father was!!

When I was 14 a friend of mine was pregnant. She was 14 as well. I got pregnant with my first child when I was 17. My husband and I have done very well for ourselves considering we were young when we had our first child (I was 18, he was 21). I'm now 21 with two toddlers. The girl that got pregnant in middle school is pregnant with her fourth child. Only two of her children share a father. The rest are by different men. I see her occasionally. She lives in the metropolitan housing a few blocks away from me. I'm sure she never will get her life together.

10 years old pregnancy of a friend who was 12. Boy so young. I had period at 8 but didn't think about sex until 16 and did not have sex until I met my hubby at 18. Now at 24 pregnant with 1st child it makes me glad I waited. Her experience though showed me how hard it was to be that young raising a child. Her mother raised the baby msot of the time while she was in school. She helped when she was out of school but boy it made me realize I never wanted one until I was ready and had some kind of steady job and house, and income. I have to also add that it was definitly not common.

I was in teh 6th grade so about 10. It wasn't actually a peer, it was a young girl in a photo of past classes at the school. The school was only elementary so even if she had failed a few times she coulldnt have been more than 12. From teh memories of the photo I have my guess would be it was taken in the late 60s. First tiem it was actually someone I knew we were seniors in high school.

okay...I was in the 7th grade...she was also a 7th grader...then, in 9th grade a lot of ppl in my high school became pregnant...and ppl my age at the time. Then in 10th garde there were 3 11th graders preg. and possibly a 9th grader...she left school so no one knows about her...it's sickening how young ppl are starting to have sex and have children. They are literally babies have babies. It's really horrible.

Actually when I was about 12 or 13 I heard about this 10 year old delivering twins just a few counties away...it's horrible

I was 14 years old when a friend of mine had her first baby. She was 14 as well. I wasn't as concerned when I was 14 about it but now that I am 30 it does seem astonishing!

I was 17 when my friend of 17 got pregnant, it depends on the school though as we were in a special school for the perofrming arts everybody was there to fill a dream, so people didnt think about sex and kids etc we just thought about singing, dancing, and school. other kids at other schools were getting pregnant at crazy ages liek 13 and 14
