whoa! thats a loaded question.esp.nowadays,there's not much anymore,cameras,phone bugs,credit checks,identity theft.i guess freedom to me is free thought.that's all !!

To me, freedom means being able to do and say what I want without being told otherwise, and to have the guarenteed rights stated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Being free is what makes us human; if we are controlled to an extreme point and not given any choice or say, we become animals and loose what seperated us from chimps -- the ability to make decisions compleatly independent from that of those around us.

not much. science everyday proves to us how little free will we have to really choose. How our brains before we are even born, have certain traits( few days ago altruism was proven to be associated with a specific brain region and function). How most questions of good and evil and making the moral and responsible choice are reduced to brain chemistry and hormonal concentrations in the blood. I can continue, but I think you see my drift.
Thankfully, we have the illusion of freedom, and morality. Or at least some of us do. pity for the ones who see the relativity of it all(such as myself)
