Maybe, its just me, but it seems that the pickings are slim for our next president. All the candidates appear to be feeding off of what Bush has/hasn't done for their campaign and none have offered any real original vision for their possible term. New candidates are throwing their hats in the ring every day hoping to grab what scraps are left of the presidency which makes them all less appealing.

I'd love to see a candidate recognized for their attributes and not their race or gender. Don't get me wrong; diversity is great, I just don't think it should be the campaign slogan.

Anyway. I have no high hopes for 2008. How about you?

Looks like Jim Webb after his own hand written brilliant 9 minute response speech last night. I do agree with Starla_C Representative government has out lived its purpose. We need to legal end their current role's turning them into employee's that must produce or be fired. Give ultimate rule & control to the Majority of legal citizen's in USA.

An Honest decent person will not run for president. Why? Because those currently in office would Invent things and make up false stories to tarnish there record. And aside from that WHY would Anyone want a Job when the Best you can hope for in Support is maybe 70%. Whatever party wins will get a divided America with neither side willing to Budge even the slightest for fear it might make the other side appear right about something. Thats why Nothing EVER gets accomplished in Washington Both sides continue to shoot down each others ideas in fear that the other side might look better for a brief moment.

Not Newt Gingrich for sure. He is a know philantropist that left his wife for a little young thing. He would be fodder for all those people that still want to belittle Clinton for his little sex encounter. Clinton, at least, did not leave Hilleary for a little young thing.
Maybe someone will run that at least as some brains.

No, there are no qualified candidates and I am fearful about what is going to happen to our country.

People need to wake up and do something instead of letting the morons in Washington do it to us!
