Fan belt, or power steering belt. Look to see if they are torn or cracked, or loose.

There is no doubt about it. It is a fan belt and if you will check I would bet it is your alternator belt. The higher the engine revs up with a load on it the more strain on that belt and thus the squeal. Bet it is worse when cold too huh?.........anyway give that a shot...bet you win....

fan belt or serpentine belt depending on the year of your car, have someone rev it up a little while you pour a glass of water over the belt and if the noise goes away you have found the problem, then just replace the belt with a new one.

It is most likely a fan or serpentine belt slipping. The other sound if the car is old could be a water pump

sounds like you have a vacuum leak have someone listen under your hood when it does it. if you have to drive when it occurs just go very slow and let the person sit in the fender with hood raised, preferably in an empty parking lot. just be extra careful

most likely the fan belt being too loose or hard and needs repacing
