I don't think religion will be outlawed in the US, but there is very vocal minority that are radically anti-Christian. Two of these groups are the ACLU and People For The American Way. They have brought countless frivilous law suits against local governments, school districts, public libraries, airports, etc. in an effort to remove all vestigas of God, and more specifically Jesus Christ, from the public arena. Fortunately, they have lost most of their legal battles because our constitution protects our freedom to practice and preach our faith. Religious displays in the public square are also protected, but most local governments are too frightened or lazy to challenge these organizations. The press, with its liberal bias, publicizes these law suits but fails to follow up with the fact that the vast majority of these suits are lost. This purposeful lack of follow-up leaves the impression that expressions of Christian faith outside of church are indeed illegal. In this case the lack of information is the same as the wrong information. People have become fearful and have overreacted. So the ACLU has gotten a lot of what it wants through intimidation and threats of law suits. Americans claim to be "religious" people, but by and large we have adopted the smorgasborg faith, picking and choosing the elements of each that please us individually and rejecting anything that may make us uncomfortable, such as the doctrine of sin. We don't worship a Nazi flag, but we have put the idol of self on the alter.

When "some" Christians understand what our Constitution says and why our country will be much better off.
Words like ...socialism, Communism, Hitler, Germany, Nazi....will not be the argument for leaving religion out of government.
I will defend the right for all Americans to practice their Religious beliefs....but in their personal lives.
Those "hateful" words are used when "some" Christians aren't getting their way.

I think most of it is just a backlash to the fundamentalist Christian factions that are trying to take over America. When one group (in this case, right-wing fundamentalist Christians) try to take over every aspect of the culture I think the other side of the coin is going to yell louder. Right now we live in a culture where people complain that their rights are being violated because people aren't advancing their religion to the exclusion of all others (including those who choose not to have a religion). So I think it's only normal for those who don't agree to come forward and have their say.
Unfortunately for all of us, you somehow are equating democrats with Nazis, which shows just how truly uneducated you are about the Nazi party. To you, "Nazi" and "Hitler" are just buzzwords you can throw around because you don't like democrats.
