Hello my fellow Minnesotan! McNabb is growing a bit overrated, but I don't think The Eagles are ready to let go yet. I do think that Garcia may end up with us, and I think it would be wise, cause let's face it, The Vikes need some help!

Garcia definitely made a good audition to start for someone the second half of this season. McNabb is the guy in Philly, though, and they wouldnt trade him - certainly not to go with the older Garcia, at any rate.
It will basically come down to what offers Garcia gets in the offseason, and if the Eagles want to give him a better offer to stay. They certainly learned this year that they need a good, reliable backup to McNabb if they want to stay competitive in the NFC East, which doesnt look to be any less cut-throat next year. They also probably know that McNabb may not be 100% after the injury, so they might want to keep Garcia around at least another year as insurance - Koy Detmer just doesnt have the same cachet coming off the bench, after all.
Garcia probably realizes that he's headed towards the end of his career, too. He may not be looking for that 3-5 year starting gig that he was when he toured through Cleveland and Detroit - he may be happier now in the role of a veteran backup on a contending team, especially in a city like Philly that's learned to love him.
If he does go somewhere, I very much doubt it would be Minnesota, who really have failed the last few years to establish a solid running or passing game that Garcia could inherit - it will be a building team again next year, and I doubt very much that Garcia wants to be a part of something like that to end his career.
If Garcia goes anywhere this offseason, assuming nothing else happens between now and the Hall of Fame Game like Favre or Trent Green retiring or Roethlisberger smashing his face in again, I'd be looking towards Chicago, who probably arent as sold on Grossman as Lovie Smith says they are, Houston, who arent saying they're sold on Carr, or maybe even Oakland, since Al Davis has a habit of grossly overpaying for aging QBs and Garcia grew up and went to school in the Bay Area.
Remember, the younger and probably cheaper Matt Schaub in Atlanta is coming up on free agency this year too, so there will be a little competition for QB upgrade positions.

There is no way in hell Mcnabb leaves the Eagles this season. None. Reid and the organization are totally commited to him. As a general practise Reid does not take away starting roles for injury. Certainly not with mcnabb. Certainly not for a 37 year old QB that played poorly in the play offs.
Garcia? Possible. It depends on who else makes an offer. The two teams being discussed most are Miami and Chicago. After Chicago gets destroyed by the Colts...will they give up on Grossman for Garcia? Probably not, they'd be more likely to give griese a shot. Miami? I think they'll probably give Culpepper another chance.
One interesting possibility could be Denver. Plummer is for sure gone. Maybe they bring in Garcia to start a season and mentor Cutler? I could see that scenario working well for them.
I think Philly will probably make a concerted effort to keep him. Given that they don't know when Mcnabb is coming back, they really need to. And it's ALWAYS a priority to have a back up QB.

i really doubt they will trade mcnabb but as far as Garcia he basically just made a pretty good audition for another team. Minnesota in particular will probably wait until after the draft to see what they can get from there first. if nothing then I would say they would at least go after Garcia

There's no way McNabb leaves Philly, period. As for Garcia...he did only have a one yr contract, and he did put up a good enough show to where teams would be interested in him. But, I believe he will resign with the Eagles because he likes Philadelphia. He said he would like to return to Philly. I think Gracia will accept being the 2nd QB on the team in the future as long as he is on a winning team.

Philadelphia has already stated that McNabb will be their man for next year.
Garcia is 36 I'm not sure if anyone wants him as a starter at this point in his career. Most teams are looking to build on the future.
Plus the Vikings just had a real bad experience with Brad Johnson. I'm sure they will be looking for a younger replacement.
David Carr could be a candidate. Houston is looking to move him.

this is hard to say b/c i don't know either's contract situation. i don't see mcnabb leaving philly yet unless he begs to leave but childress has to keep in mind that garcia is no spring chicken. i could see going after him as a 1 or two year fix but i think minn needsto build for the future. why not go after brohm in the draft?

I don't know if McNabb will come back. I like to think he may, but he's getting up there in years. And his torn ACL will need tons of therapy before he can train, let alone take the field.
