Because after 17 resolutions that Saddam refused to live up to we decided enough was enough. He was a cruel dictator who spoke frequently of his desire to destroy America. He had a cabinet position called minister of weapons of mass destruction. Iraq has always been a breeding ground for terrorists. We liberated people, got rid of a dictator and helped get more stability in the country. If you watch the news you will see most of the hostility is happening around Bagdad

America is at war with Iraq because the president is taking revenge for what they did to use on September 11. He really wants them to pay for what they did. Also to get oil that we need.

.All i know is America has been weakened by this tremendously.More divorces, suicides, broken homes and Bush steady asking for more troops what more do we have.More soldiers have died now than the people in 9/11 i get angry thinking about.Those ''terrorists" are laughing at us every time a soldier dies because we are killing off ourselves why cant these people see.I guess the fathers,mothers, sons etc all have to die in war first to get those terrorists. great strategy Bush!! NOT

not world war, we would need more countries to be involved, i dont know why we are over in iraq, saddam had njothing to do with 9/11 we have no business putting our nosed in other peoples business, thats our problem i mean we did the same thing in vietnam and korea i believe, everyone does not want democracy!!!!!!

because of a president who wanted it, and a congress ceding it's right for oversight. it's a good demonstration of why sometimes it's not a good idea to give all the power to one party.
