Does anyone know a simple, EASY, inexpensive way to make fairy wings? My daughter is having a Tinkerbell birthday party and I thought it would be cute for the girls to make or decorate their own wings. But I only know how to make 'em out of wire and nylons which is awesome, but not simple or practical. Any ideas???

buy the fairly inexpensive irredesent gift wrap the plastic type used for gift baskets. spray several layers together with spray adhesive. At least three layers. Then simply cut into oblong shape the widthe you want the wings gather in the middle. punch holes with a punch and tie with ribbon then you can either pin them on with safety pins or string ribbon through the holes long enough to tie around the child under the arms. They come out really cute.

well i think the wire and nylons is the most simple one tohave a good pair.. but if they are young kids and wan itextremely easy ..
How about using Kraft paper, Paints and string.
get the giant paper roll, let them draw winsg on the paper , you cut them out for them, and then cut a cpl holes in themand add string for them to tie around their shoulders.
now this is completly from my mind rightnow..soi don't knwo how wellit's work..youmay wantto make a practice pair first. oh and popsicle sticks could be a good way to keep the paper straight.. or maybe paint glueover them .. that will stiffen them out.

Our dollar store sometimes has them for a dollar a piece, premade. If the girls are really young and dexterity and artistic skill is a problem, this is the best way to go.

Ot try oriental trading company online here:

Let each girl decorate her own premade set of wings with stuff you have for them to use: glitter, glue, "gems", feathers, ribbon, etc.

Have fun!

use oaktag posterpaper or cardboard. cut out the wings and attach loops of elastic on both sides ( to slip over arms) having them cut and ready to decorate before the party makes life easier. then all you have to do is supply the decorating things. markers, crayons, paints, glitter, glue, craft beads- those flat ones, bits of ribbons for streamers, lace ( use the lacy seam binding ( its cheaper) .

Actually buy tulle by the yard at fabric store, use wire hangers and it would be more economical. Text me if you need more detail. Coachpeace20@yahoo. Com
