Of course. Who the heck would choose a lifestyle that was ridiculed by society.

For those that think it's a choice:
Do you remember when in your life YOU chose your sexual preference?

Yes. I very much doubt anyone would "choose" to be gay. Not because there's anything wrong with it (I have a lot of great friends that are gay), but because life does seem to be a bit more difficult when you're gay. There's a lot of restriction when you're gay (getting married, having children), and there's always a chance people will judge you on your sexuality, not you personality.

And I very much doubt it has something in the way you're raised - if that were the case, wouldn't we have figured out where it "went wrong" by now?? (again, I have nothing at all against gay people!!!).
I guess it could be a chemical unbalance in the brain, like someone else suggested, but then that would also be something you were born with, wouldn't it??

i don't believe its true and believe its wrong but hey people have free will, and no they are not born in to it i believe that they choose into it. its not in any religion or belief that its right its always been as male and female nothing else. its just sick people who need help. also if they were born this way and god had some plan for this wouldn't they be able to have children because only a male and female can have children biologically not by adoption which i believe they shouldn't be allowed to because what if the child grows up to think hes gay when he might not be but because his role models are then he must be too since we all no matter what we say look up to our parents.

I am very confused about homosexuality. I want nothing more than to be fair about the subject, and I want that fairness to be inside me, not some simple politically correct exterior.

To that end, an answer to this question would aid me immeasurably. Unfortunately, I doubt there will be a an answer that is scientifically verifiable in my lifetime. Many of us have opinions on the subject but as the saying goes; opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and they all stink.

Absolutely not. I believe that some men can be born with more effeminate traits, or women born with more masculine ones, but in order to act on any desire like that, it without question requires the choice.

Being gay is a lifestyle choice. Being black is something you're born with.

I think gay people were born that way, and so do most scientists.

You're right and THERE IS scientific evidence that they are born gay, it's genetic.

Good work, you are smart! =))
