You have to understand your self and except what you really are and not try to be something your not. A frog must except that he/she is a frog nothing more nothing less. We as people must realize who we are and that only ten to fifteen percent of us ever move up in the world. The rest no matter how hard we try will only move a short distance from were we started life. For each step up there are a hundred people trying to take that step and only one will make it. We have to realize in life there is a time when advancement stops and we need to make our selves except that. But foolish as we are we keep trying to be something we are not intended to be: realize you short coming and accept them!

You dont learn to be happy with who you are!
We change all the time what you need to look at is you look right inside yourself and see whats there!
Other people will have oppinions of you some will be complmentry some will be hurtful, it doesnt matter..
What matters is do you like you what do you want from life.
When you look in the mirror what do you see the superficial you how you look in appearance thats what other people see until they get to know you the person..
We all have qualities good and bad, Im very honest and some times it hurts people thats because they dont know how to deal with truth thats something they need to work on..
Be honest with yourself why should you change who you are to make other people happy , happy is maybe not the right word for your question are you comfortable with who you are is more like it.
We are all unique in our own way if some one points out what they dont like about you dont jump on the defensive or feel hurt accept critisism..
Look within

We are all unique - even identical twins have differences. No two people of the billions and billions ever born are the same. Just this one miraculous fact should make us sit up and think that there's a reason for this. Only I am me. Only I am like me. Only I can do things the way I do, can think like I do. It's a great gift to be alive. Be happy and enjoy it in your own unique way.

Live and let live. Live your own life and don't concern yourself with things that don't involve you (i.e a fight at work between two of your co-workers that has nothing to do with you). Don't hold grudges, apologize, and just be happy! Do something for yourself for once -- eat ice cream, buy something you really want and just let loose for one day a week. You know what makes you happy, so go ahead and go it!

IMHO:
--Make a list of things that are good about you. We're socialized to be modest, but get past that and brag about yourself to yourself.
--Examine the expectations you have of yourself. Are they reasonable?
--Make little goals instead of big ones. As you accomplish each little goal, you will become more confident and eventually find that you have acheived the big ones.
--Most important: my religious tradition tells me that each person is a literal spirit child of God, and I believe this wholeheartedly. You are infinitely valuable not for anything you do (not that you shouldn't do anything), but simply for existing. You wouldn't be here if you weren't important.

Grow old.
Age has a way of putting life into perspective and the realization that we're all here for a short time and we all make mistakes, but the point is to make the best of it.

Just be yourself, that is, your innerself. You see most people live in their heads, the mind is somewhat negative and egoistic, and this is when you create unhappiness. Live life with your heart and trust & believe in your innerself, and you will create abundance for you and others. Use your mind for practical purposes only.
Once you master this, you will be extremely happy.

If you were who you are, you would be happy. You should never force yourself to be happy with who you are. If you are finding it hard to embrace you, it is very likely that the person you think is you is not you. Since most of us are just the result of parental and societal programming, when someone tells you to just be yourself they are actually telling you to be anything but yourself; they are telling you to be them, they are telling you to be who they programmed you to be.

I think happiness is a state of mind. Some people tend to be happy. Some not. It does not seem to depend on their environment.
