I know PS2 or encrypted but is there a way around it? Are PS1 also encrytped?

You can burn them just like a movie. Then, apparently there is a chip that you can buy (not sure where) that you sauter into your playstation 2 to get it to override the 'copyright' issues.

They're not encrypted; The PS console is just designed not to acknowledge authentic discs, by default.
