Does it drives you crazy, when he sits staring at the tv box during a match? You can't even talk to him.

you have to understand that watching sports is the equivalent to you girls shopping, you dont want to be told what to buy or what to wear and how long you are going to be, right? guys is the same deal during sports, silence is golden!! most sports take about two and half hours, that not too much to ask for, talk during half time. If he ignores you all the time everyday then there is a problem, but if its just during football games I suggest you be a good girlfriend and learn the game so that you can appreciate the sport and might even take your relationship somewhere new. There is nothing hotter than a girl who is sports sav vy!!!

It used to but I've now been married to him for 17 years and have become a little philosophical about it. He picks a few games he would like to watch and I just completely leave him alone during them. I go off and shop or clean the house. He finds it very relaxing (even though he's yelling at the tv). AFter it's over we then go have a drink or dinner etc. It's just a little alone time a couple times a week that allow us to have experiences separate from eachother and we then discuss "what the other was doing" while we were apart. He tells me about the game and I marvel at his passion for it, I tell him about the fungus growing in the fridge and how I killed it and he gets grossed out!

It's harder when you're first dating though because you just want to spend every free moment with them. If you really need to be near him get a good book or some kind of craft that you can do in the room and just be with him.

I had an ex-boyfriend (ex for a reason) that would sit in front of the computer and look at football sites while the game was on.

He actually "rescheduled" my birthday because it fell on a Sunday and interrupted his football schedule.

It didn't matter what sport was on...he would watch billiards, bowling, curling, anything that was a sport.

I feel your pain! Luckily my current boyfriend is only a little bit into watching sports. I will never hook up with a sports psycho-freak again.

I think he's more of a football addict than a fan. He's watching football as we speak. He watched a game last night. He watched 3 games at the weekend.

He even stops to watch kick abouts in the park. I think it's an illness.

I'm a bigger fan than he is but if there is a match on that I don't want to watch I just get lost for a while on here and have some fun myself. If he ignores me I don't get him a beer so he can't ignore me for long.

Actually, I'm the fan in my relationships. One bf called me during the Superbowl. He was very upset that I had to wait until halftime to call him back. It was the Superbowl! And my team was losing!Geez.

He even came over to finish the conversation during commercials. Apparently, I date women.
