Wow, you need to specify what you mean by a day.

Matahari gave you the length of one SIDEREAL day while throatofwinter gave you the length of one SOLAR day.

A sidereal day is the amount of time to rotate 360 degrees while a solar day is the amount of time to rotate from noon to noon.

For example, one SIDEREAL day on Earth is 23 hours, 56 minutes, and some odd seconds. It's constant all the time. The average SOLAR day on Earth is 24 hours, however the length of a solar day changes over the course of the year.

In one solar day, the Earth has to rotate nearly 361 degrees, since the Earth has moved a little less than degree around the Sun during the time it took for the Earth to rotate.
