I believe that, on the whole, by and large, signature size is an indication of self-confidence or feelings of self-worth -- people with really low self-esteem write their names really tiny.
Quality of eye-sight may also be a factor.

I'm a salesman and it's my experience that the larger a person signs, the higher their buying power. Thus the more successful, the bigger they right. Interesting question.

my four grown kids signatures are the same as they were when they were teenagers (32, 31, 28, 21)

Their signature gets larger because they have more self confidence. People that have really small handwritting are not confident in themselves.

It will get smaller because he or she will feel confident and not need to overcompensate with a large signature.

i get straight a's and i do both sometimes, just depends on how im feeling i dont know, my signature changes often too, there is no way to tell
