I used to have a so called friend who verbally abused me for many years but until recently I told him to get lost and he did without even saying sorry. But now I feel like he got off easy without me doing some harm or hurtful things like he used to do to me. So should I call him back and pretend to be his friend again and get my revenge by verbally abusing him also?

I know it sounds silly when I say "verbally" abuse but it's the way he's been insulting me to get a good laugh for himself on my expense for so many years.

I say no, forget that idiot, he doesn't even deserve 2 minutes of your valuable time!Revenge might sound good but it ain't Worth it, move on with your life.Probably if you start verbally abusing him he will get the point that its for revenge..He will probably get mad and the story repeats itself. That's just going to make it even worse. He is a loser forget him, feel bad because he needs some self esteem, he probably felt good doing that to you.

No, he didn't get off easy. It's not your job to stoop to his level and be as big a jerk as he was. He'll get his. someone else will give it and then it won't be on your conscience that you had to be a jerk.
