No, I don't. I think that compared to the challenges that face us in the adult world make childhood challenges seem simple... however, remember how drastic things seemed as a child. Remember when you were a child and all the adults would make it seem as if your problems meant nothing compared to their own? You probably didn't agree with them then.

Today's children have grown up in a world that's changing. Crime is on the increase - you always have to be careful of what you do or where you go;
Alternative lifestyles are cropping up all over the globe - teens aren't discouraged to be different.
People are beginning to mix - different cultures, religions, races and sexualities are all being intermingled. They grow up with 'tolerance.'
Today's children are less disciplined. With new laws in place it makes it harder to discipline children and teach them right from wrong, and they sometimes even think that they're immortal and really build up an ego.
I wouldn't say that today's children have it easy, but they do get a lot less telling off than kids in the past. It'll be quite difficult for them to go into the world and we can only hope that a good revolution will follow their adulthood.

Yes. The thing that concerns me the most, is children nowadays not only have it easier, but they are overindulged. They have too many THINGS. They have their heads constantly filled with psychobabble about "self-esteem". Kids aren't even allowed to play dodgeball in some schools because it might "damage their self-esteem". Adults are so busy falling over themselves to keep their children happy every single minute, that the kids never learn to deal with frustration, which is a normal part of life. As they get older, the smallest things, which a normal person should be able to deal with without a second thought, leads to a complete meltdown. We have a higher number of depressed teenagers. They can't handle anything. That's where all of this ridiculous melodramatic behavior and cutting stems from.

No, if anything, I think kids today have it worse. In simpler times, there was no social awareness of things that affect a child's life in today's world. Sexuality, religion, world cultural issues, social nuances - all seem to be hitting kids sooner and sooner. While grown-ups struggle to find right and wrong in a world of compromise, imagine how overwhelmed kids must be? They don't have a lifetime of "filtering" what's important and what's not - they are sponges - absorbing everything around them and trying to sort it all out.
I have kids, and I try to protect them what I can, and help explain what I can't - but when I often find myself without the right answers, I can only imagine the hard time they are having or what they are feeling as they try to not only discover themselves, but this ever changing world around them.
Lastly - our world, for better or worse, is more complicated and connected than ever before. Things on the other side of the world can affect us faster and be brought to our attention immediately with the internet, news, etc. Our grandparents only had to worry about their immediate community.. our parents worried about their state and country - this generation has to deal with the world as countries are more and more connected and interactive.

Lol, going to pizza hut in key is a lot greater desirable than going to a club after telling your mom and dad something else. besides, clarification why youngsters lie lots is because of the fact which you tell me, is there truly any punishment given for mendacity? no longer probable, maximum mom and dad basically say, do no longer misinform me, and end there. i for my section have faith in removing previleges, descipline, removing the television, no high priced toys, no pals over, no traveling pals, and in the event that they are in a position to't get their act mutually, then deliver them as properly camp. Lol, i sound terrible. yet i'm basically afraid that my daughter, or destiny youngsters might finally end up like a number of those worry makers I see all around. i do no longer constantly blame the babies, i think of a few mom and dad at the instant are not very in contact of their babies existence, and while they decide to get entangled, they are in a position to't discover a thank you to bigger communicate because of the fact they have been those to have closed all of the doors interior the 1st place.

Not, isn't easy to be a child, and that is in general, which included home work that in many instances its unnecessary simple because many children's have a photographic memory, as well that they need to awaken so early to me is almost inhumane, as soon a s they begin to do this waking and getting -up early, prep-school, kindergarten, and so forts, straight to college or work though they can learn to be responsible I don't think there is to much they can enjoy of the more important period of their lives<>

Children today has it so easy, they don't have to walk to school unlike I done when I was a child. They get allowance just by reach out their hands, my son gets 20 dollar per week for doing nothing from his dad. My parents would only spare 2 dollars for lunch and we had alot of chores. I think that parents today are just too soft.

Yes and no. There are more things they have, like computers etc. but many of them only have one parent and sometimes not even that many. When they only live with one parent and he/she is working all the time, they basically have to raise themselves.
