I live by the sea and would hate to live anywhere else. I love to walk on the beach and breath the fresh sea air - in all weathers. It beats living in a polluted city any day - but there are drawbacks. In summer the town is thronged with visitors and the beach crowded, but this does create jobs. There are not many permanent jobs to be had, mainly seasonal. But it is worth it!

Living near the sea might sound nice, but if the icecaps melt, you'll be screwed.

Give me a mountain anyday.

Anything with a sea view is quite expensive (unless it floats & was made by you out of junk & is anchored outside the taxable & permits-required zone).
