I had a security clearance while in the Navy in the early 70s. Is it still in force?

Was asked on a job application if I have a current security clearance. Want to know if its still good. I have a totally clean record.

It's an inactive one, but shown as that. Go to www.military.com. I had one in the 60's in the Air Force. Same thing. Inquire what to do on that site. I know you would have to be re-investigated again, more so this time because of the time period. Good luck.

Probably not. Depending on the clearance that you had, they need to be renewed and you have to be vetted again after a certain amount of time. Some are every year or two.
