A person who understands you. A person who is loyal to you, who you can tell everything to, who will cry with you, laugh with you, make jokes with you, spends time with you, can spend hours on the phone with you, feel happy, scared, or angry for you. A person who is close to you, and you love like a sister. A best friend is NOT a person who will just let you sit by them at lunch. A best friend is NOT someone who will start a feeble conversation with you and then turn her back on you to start joking with other friends. A best friend is someone you need to be with, who makes you feel like you belong. A best friend is someone who you need almost or as much as your family.
I had a best friend. But then I moved. I have new friends now but it's not the same, never the same. When you find your best friend keep her close to you. But even if you have to move away or something, just know she will always be close to your heart. Always. Cuz that's what best friends do.

Someone that you have know for a very long time you trust and could tell basically anything too. Generally a best friend is someone that you could argue with and still kick it later in the day don't talk about you you could talk amongst your selves. someone like a sister or brother.

someone who "gets" me...someone who has the patience and desire to grow together, learn, talk things out...is loyal, makes an effort to know me, trusts me with their problems (and in turn, is trustworthy with mine), builds me up/is supportive but gives their honest opinions and frequent constructive feedback. NOT someone who won't talk to you when times get tough or who bad-mouths you to others when they are feeling insecure!
