Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

Well, it's not like anyone can answer that with any real accuracy. But I can try anyway...
Honestly, life makes no sense to me. Why does life exist at all? Some people claim that our experience on earth is merely a trial - proof to God that we're worthy creations. That, however, makes no sense at all to me. If God is all-knowing, then wouldn't He already know if we are worthy or not? So if it's not God, then what is it? We aren't alive to help other life, because that doesn't explain why the other life is there in the first place. Wouldn't it be much simpler if there was just no life at all?
Perhaps there is no "meaning." Perhaps life is just a chemical accident. But if this is the case, then why does even the chemical exist?
It's far simpler to narrow the question down a bit. What is the meaning of YOUR life? Why should YOU keep living?
The answer to that, unfortunately, is hardly universal. Each person must create their own reasons to live. For me, I live because I've got nothing better to do. I'm already here; why not make the best of it? The only alternative, after all, is death...and it would be terribly unfortunate if you rushed out to die only to discover that the "great beyond" isn't all that great after all.
Just live because you're alive. Searching for the ultimate meaning may add depth to your life, but that doesn't make the question any less impossible to answer.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Your question made me think of something I witnessed recently... My two sons were fighting over a toy. My 3 year old took my 6 year old's toy and my 6 year old protested (of course). The argued and eventually my 6 yo said "you don't even know the meaning of life"! My mother (who also witnessed this interaction) immediately asked my eldest son what the meaning of life is. His response "older brothers tell younger brothers what to do"! My mom and I both started laughing (my 6 yo is so serious). But there is actually some truth to that definition... It is those with more power and status that make decsions. I am not sure that I would give that answer but that is my 6 year olds definition! LOL

Life has individualized meanings. There is no one answer to everybody's ultimate question. There is nothing that can make us all go, "Ohhh, why didn't I think of that?" Life has different meanings for every person. One day, you will find yours. However, there is one distraction from finding this meaning, and that is getting caught up with this question. Once you stop asking questions, you start learning on your own.
