I once dreamt of a black and gold spider staring me down on the pillow, while I was lying in bed. One minute it was the foot of my bed and the next it was on my pillow.
I also tried to cover with the blanket to avoid getting bitten, as the spider charged me.
Later I was browsing through the book section of the CNA and saw a book on dreams. I was very interested considering I had had this dream about two nights before, which had been bothering me terribly, I had been checking the bed everynight to find this spider, because it seemed so real.
Low and behold there was a section on dreaming of spiders.
Apparently it is very lucky to dream of spiders and the strangest thing was it described my dream almost exactly and it was very accurate.
The gold and black spider represented a young women who was on the verge of getting married (I was getting married the very next week).
The fact that the spider tried to bite me meant the marriage was going to be a good marriage and last.
The fact that the sun was shinning down on me while I lay in the bed, meant that I would be very loved and lucky.
I can't remember the opposite, there were drescriptions for if the spider was completely gold etc. I remember they did have bad omens where spider dreams are concerned.
But what I do know is that dreaming of snakes is never a good thing.
I can't remember the name of the book, and believe me I have tried hunting for it everywhere.
I saw the book in the CNA in Sandton, South Africa.
I have been married for 10 years, but it feels more like 1 year because it has been such a good and happy marriage. We have been extremely lucky and problems just seem to sort themselves out.
My husband didn't care very much for the dream books interpretation of my dream, but every now and again I ask him "Do you remember that spider dream I had? Isn't it incredible how accurate it was?" - I can never forget it.

For that very reason, i can not sleep in a room with a window air conditioner, or near a room where I can hear the Central heat and Air blower. For some reason, that noise changes into something like a pulsing drone, and I dream that a black shadow figure, kinda demon shaped with red eyes, is trying to kill me. Normally, when I wake this, I find that I cannot move for a minute. This happens almost everytime I hear that noise when I sleep.

This spider kept biting my right wrist, each time leaving these long and thick needle inside, which i could only get out if i pinched it out like splinter.
However, Im not sure i can link this to any real pain, my wrist hurts on and off pretty much everyday. (im at the comp all day)

When you dream, your brain is not storing your dreams into your long term memory but when you wake up, the dream you had recently is still in your short term memory and because you are aware of it, your body reacts until you are aware you are awake and that it was a dream. It sometimes then goes into your long term memory which sometimes helps your brain to create dreams when you are sleeping and coincidental, you are having dreams on the same topic. This is usually caused by focusing on memories (in this case the bees) a lot. I had the same problem when I had continuous dreams about people robbing my house.

Probably a lot of people. I would say there are some 'poisonous influences' in your life (symbolised by the spider and the snakebite) maybe connected with feelings about your studies. Maybe whether you think your studies are useful enough, or whether you are good enough at them. Something like that? Examine your underlying feelings about your work and see if they have any connections. Your dream is urging you to address something.

I've had one similar to yours but when I dream of spiders either I've just seen one prior to going to bed or I am worried about something. but on a lighter note, there is a popular saying that goes "when you dream of spiders, your going to be lucky!" weird thing was, a week or so ago, I dreamt of spiders and a day or so after that I won £100! spooky!

I dream constantly. My worst dream was of dying and going to hell,I think. I was lying in a narrow tunnel and others in front of me were being herded along. When I saw a man who I know, make a lunge at me with a three pronged fork, I woke up and was sweating profusely.

Yes! I once dreamed that i was being attacked by lots of geese. (My friend had geese on her farm and they were vicious little buggers!) I dreamed they were biting me on my neck, they had me by the throat and I couldn't get away. When I woke, I was frozen in my bed and my neck was really sore as if something really HAD pecked me! Not sure what actually made it hurt though. Its a mystry!
