I have noticed that a lot of people on here are conservative. A lot of people are bashing Barack Obama just because his name sounds Muslim. Are the majority of people here conservative?

All I am going to say is I support and love my country. I am proud to be American and would die for that right. I have had many relatives die for our country, as many of us have. No matter WHO is President, I will honor them. I put trust in my fellow Americans to also be proud of their President, no matter which "side" they are on. I think we look like fools to other countries if we cannot take pride in our leader.

Your Question is a note worthy reason what we have come to in America. Everyone stereotypes Democrats as liberal, and Republicans as Conservative.
I am a Democrat, but a moderate. I know a lot of Republicans that are moderates too. And I know a lot of Democrats that are moderates.
A person cannot be all liberal on all issues or all Conservative on all issues.
The people that stay way to the left or right are usually your biggest Hippocrates.
Barack Obama's Father was a Muslim. Barack went to a Muslim school for two years in Indonesia when he was six years old. I saw a CNN special and they went to the school. It is NO extremist school at all. They were teaching basic math, language, science, etc. There are a lot of Republicans on this site that think of all Democrats as liberals. They are wrong. For me I am most proud to be an American first always. Is not that the way it is supposed to be?

I am a center-left guy, which in America is considered liberal or progressive. In most countries I would be considered a centrist or even a bit to the right of mainstream because I advocate for balance in public-versus-private ownership (but certainly more public ownership of vital commodities than we see in America).

Reagan Conservative (except for his stupid amnesty thing)

Hillary is a joke, don't care about Obama (except that he's too inexperienced to be Pres), hate Kerry and Ms. Speaker Nazi Pelosi is a socialist!

I like Tom Tancredo. Mayor Rudy is interesting. McCain is an embarrassment to the GOP and Bush has become a girlie man, just like Arnold. (I want my vote back because you lied, Arnold.)

I'm about as right wing as they come, but I do not bash people for their namesakes, political association, or opinions.

Oftentimes, by the time bashing starts towards a politician, though, it's well-warranted.

His name is just a name. Let's see what his actions tell us about him.

Names like "liberal" and "conservative" are meaningless and divisive.

I am more conservative than the "conservatives" on financial issues and more liberal than the "liberals" on social issues.

I believe that you can't spend what you don't have. the "conservatives" have already spent money that our great-great-grandchildren will still be paying off. conservatives don't believe in welfare for the poor, but they religiously practice welfare for the rich and their corporations.

It appears that our president can't stand hearing the word "liberal" because he did so poorly in his liberal arts courses. Judging from his Air National Guard record, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he paid somebody to take his tests so that he could graduate.

All the above was said, conservatively speaking, of course.

I consider myself a moderate who generally supports liberal candidates and policy. The people who bash Obama because of his name show how ignorant people resort to race baiting and personal attacks when they can't talk about issues.

Technically, I'm both.

I'm a tree hugger who wants to build a concrete wall from San Diego to Brownsville.

I'm pro-choice and pro-life.

I want to keep all of my own money, while ensuring that the poor & downtrodden are given appropriate assistance.

I know, I know, I ask for a lot! But at least I'm honest, and I'm not beholden to either party.
