I just read an article that says that Indian IT companies charge up to $6 USD/hour, is this true??

If it is, I have some requirements here in México for sw development and would like to contact one of these companies, where could I find info??

The rates actually depend on the company and their expertise level.

If you go for Infy, Satyam, Wipro, HCL which are the top 4 companies then definitely the rates will be high. The advantage that you have is they are big players but again remember as a client - you are a small fish in a big ocean for them.

If you go for 2'nd level companies - there are so many to mention here then the rates will be nominal. But, one thing is for sure they will treat you equal to GOD!

Dear Sir,

I request you to kindly check the credibility of the article which you have read. Indian IT Companies do not really operate at $6 per hour. All the reference companies that have been mentioned operate at least 10 times of what has been asked by you. Even Tier 2 companies look somewhere at $40 per hour.

If you are interested in some kind of off-site development work which is fine with you, kindly let me know. I am currently working for a Tier 2 IT SEI CMM Level 5 Company in India. I can get the help from my people to get your work done.

Try contacting Infosys, TCS, Satyam or WIPRO. Software development depending on the project size could be done by small software companies also. That where probaly you may find this rate for software development.

yes u are right.because india has got a big pool of talented and bright minds.here people are hard working so most of the indian IT companies works on outsourcing.
its very easy to find a company for software development.you can get the information on the web site.
