The baby will come when he/she's ready. There is no proven way to start labor exept being induced by a doctor (IV pitocin, etc)! Walking alot and sex are safe, but again, not proven. Some will say castor oil, but DON'T do that!!! It will cause massive watery stools. You could dehydrate yourself and put the baby in danger and it's not exactly what you want when giving birth if you know what I mean!
The due date is just an estimate anyway, not an absolute. Most doctors believe by 42 weeks, though conditions in the womb could deteriorate so they will induce.

I was horribly sick, threw up everyday for 7 months...and all that helped was drinking coke. It sounds like you are just having normal pregnancy symptoms. Hot flashes and strange cravings are part of it. Try eating as soon as you get up, and munch a lot all day, thats will help with the nausea. I always ate sour things, like sour candy, that seem to help also. The cramps are most likely because ur uterus is adjusting, or it could be dehydration. You might want to ask a doctor about that.Try drinking more water.I know it is hard not to worry.good luck

my wife is 36 wks pregnant and in the early stages of labour, I really think that nothing can really start you off as the baby wil come when he or she is ready but I guess there is no harm in trying some of the 'old wives' tales to see if it does actually work, so why not try a long walk, a hot bath, having a curry and having some sex......either way I wish you luck with the new baby.

The sensible thing would be to hang on in there and try to get as much rest as poss. because when the baby is born they're gonna want to be fed & changed every three hours or so. & you will be exhausted!. If you still can't wait, try raspberry leaf tea, hot curry or sex.

hi am sure baby will come when ready. i started to think about having to wait another two weeks, got used to the idea and then had a spicy yellow thai curry not sure if that helped but 3 hours later labour started.

Best wait till your due date and then talk to your midwife. If you go overdue they say that sex is a good way to start labour, but who feels like sex at 40 or 41 weeks pregnant!!! Walking around, keeping active helps too. Good luck!

Sex will probably work but castor oil does too. The only thing about castor oil is that it is also a laxative and will send you to the toilet also. So do be aware of this if you do go with the castor oil

u can't really, i was told to eat hot curries, run round the field etc, but in my experience they come out when they are ready & not before. my son was 10 days late, but think its genetic, cos his dad & his dads brother where both 10 days late, where me & my brother were on time & a day early. good luck & hope its sooner rather than later for ya. happy nappy changing.

walking up and down stairs
bouncing on a birthing ball (apparently helps move the babies head into position)
cod liver oil

Trust me when I say this. That baby will come when it is time for it to come. Don't do anything to speed it up and don't be impatient, you are so close. It won't be long before you will be holding it in you arms and it will all be worth it. Congratulations on your new little one!
