Count it from the first day of your last period. So if you got your last period exactly 7 weeks ago then you would be 7 weeks pregnant. I know its confusing because you are not actually pregnant for the first two weeks. Thats just how they calculate it so your due date is 40 weeks from the first day of your last period.

Hope that helps!

Congratulations too!!!

Either way your date is always give or take 5 days.
Their prediction is just that a prediction from a standard 28 day period w/ a standard ovulation on day 12-14 of your cycle. Not all of us have 28 day periods and very few of us ovulate on the day 12-14 standard. Even ultrasounds are give or take 5 days but are usually more accurate at predicting than your period.

I'm a 1.5 weeks off from the ultrasound compared to the first day of my last period. But in the end it won't matter the baby always comes when its ready....lol. supposedly 4 weeks to go!!!

they are probably going by the size of your embrio ... that early it is hard to say exactly.

If you know for sure the first day of your last period, then count from there until today and that will give you the weeks. If you dont know for sure you can only go by the estimation of the doc.

There are caculators on the web that can help you with that, you just put in the first day of your last period and it will tell you the rest.

One web site is listed under sources..

Go to another doctor. It's not too early to find out how far along you are. They're inexperienced.
