How do you do it?? I'm always catching my fingers :S (I'm using fingers, not a pick)

Serf M, the method that I use is, use your hand and fingers like you would a little broom, lightly brushing across the strings up or down, just don't bear down too hard, just a light little brush is all you need until u get used to it!!

It took me a while to get used to strumming with my fingers, for me its all about angles and callouses...lol
and I hate to say it but practice, more and more youll figure out how you have to angle your fingers so it feels natural and sounds good to you

I can't even do it with a pick..I just get messed up like on the third string.

yeah i have trouble with that, its tough to do, what ive been told is that you can grow out your nails and it makes it easier. maybe you dont want to but just a tip.

dont strum to closeley with your fingers,hell i admit i can only play on chord but i know how to strum,ive never caught my fingers.careful how close and hard you strum.
