It depends. I know several women who had babies over 40. My mom was pregnant at 45 and lost the baby due to birth defects. They say over 35 is getting into the "older" mother stage, but medical advances get better every day. It's still risky to have babies when one is over 40, but it is possible.

I'd say 40 because, you just don't have the energy to chase a toddler around and who wants to be getting up at all hours of the night with a baby. There is also the birth defect thing too the older you get the higher risk there is of your baby having some sort of birth defect.

According to some people, it's never too late to have a baby. I say 40 is about the limit. When you have a baby at 40, a lot of your friends will become grandparents.

Wait, are you a guy or a chick? Because if you're a guy, its never too old. If you're a woman, anything over 12 is unacceptable.
