Im now with ntl and got a modem is there any way of connectin my hub to act as a router so i can use my xbox 360 so that i can play xbox live please help someone

Yes get a linksys broadband router and connect it by ethernet cable. Then you can still get on the internet at the same time on your pc while someone is using the XBox.
If you buy a wireless router it gives you the option to connect other pcs or laptops wirelessly in the future.
You can get them from most stores and online for around £30-£40

If you are connected via ethernet cable then you should be able to do so, I switched from BT to NTL and I still use my hub
