Haha..my boyfriend is not romantic at all. So I was thinking about getting him some beer and a Best Buy gift card. Is that really cheesy?

I want to agree that the best buy gift card is a bit over the top.. The idea of a valentine's present is to give him something personal. If beer is his heart's desire, that is fine. If a new game is his desire, or a movie.. go get that. Gift cards say "I didn't know what to get you, so here, have fun" which is fine for Christmas, but not a day where you want to show your sweetie that you were REALLY thinking about him. UNLESS the gift card has special meaning. Our first Christmas dating, I gave my (now) husband a $100 dollar gift card to best buy. I did this because I KNEW his other girlfriends never as much got him a stuffed bear, and wanted to show him that I knew how to give as well as receive (he also got something else, so I did get him something personal) so yeah, I guess we are back to does it say "honey, I put some thought into this" TO HIM.

The gift card is cheesey. It V-day, not xmas. I assume you'll be naked or near-naked at some point in the process?

You know your man better then we do. Would you mind if he got it for you? Is it something that you don't mind telling people when they ask..what did you get your boyfriend?
