Hmmm... no. To be a felon means to be over 18, so while they are responsible for themselves in the eyes of the law... my child's welfare is still my business. I would have a heart to heart with the kid, laying out his future and my intention to see him at his best... mistakes that landed him the label of a felon were ignorant and stupid, what was done however is in the past... we have all made mistakes at various levels, we can only act in the present and look toward the future... what my kid would need at this point is a positive vision/roadmap for the future, so while I make sure he knows I disapprove of his past actions, he also knows that I am here to support him in his endevors for the future.

Well, since my kids are just about perfect and have never even gone to the office at school it will be a non-event on the scale of Y2K.
My kids were raised with morals and values by conservative Republicans so it's not gonna happen. I will say "I'm sorry to see that" when it is someone else's kid.
