The answer is kinda complicated. Shaving will not necessarily give you more pimples, but it is a cause. The ones you already have will get worse, though. It's because the blades on the razor aggravate your skin. In response, your skin produces more oils to help hydrate it. The best thing to do is to shave while your face is nice and clean and while your pores are open. Then, wash your face and put something on it, like facial lotion. This will hydrate your face so your skin won't have to overproduce more oils. Trust me, I know from experience.

NO, it will not cause pimples. However, if you have a particularly coarse and curly beard, the hairs can try to grow inward and irritate the skin; then the next time you shave you can get Razor Bumps. There are preparations on the market supposedly for razor bumps, but for me, the most effective solution has been not to shave every day. For years, I had a full beard for this very reason.

The problem of shaving your face is that sometimes...not everybody, but some people, will have ingown hair folicles which become infected pimples. If your skin tends to do that, I wouldn't shave my face. Also, as the skin gets used to that shaving, and I would use a very skin sensitive shaving gel, it may stop breaking out.

Some men have sensitive skin and get irritation due to shaving but if you shave right and put on some cream to sooth the shaving burns you will be fine.

if you use shaving cream it will be fine if you try to shave without cream ( dry shaving ) your face will break out with a rash and even possibly pimples, also wash your face before shaving with hot water, make sure your your razor is good and clean and when you are done splash your face with hot water. if you do all this your shave should turn out fine.

Pimples, not pipples, if the razor is dull or you don't use enough lather you'll end up with razor rash (ingrown hairs too).

Yeah, it can if you aren't careful. Always use a new razor or change your razor blade as often as you can. That's first and foremost. Use a good shaving cream that's made for sensitive skin. And use a product for afterwards...a sensitive skin shaving balm.

If you shave with a dirty, bacteria laiden blade, yes. All the bacteria can get into your pores and sebaceous glands, causing a pimple to form.
