I've been in an open, long distance relationship with a girl for a bout a year. We met in high school, but I moved out of state to go to another school. Basically, we were in a relationship, but allowed to see other people.
I havent seen her since July and been talking. I noticed a change in her behavior and also the fact that she stopped talking to some of her friends a few months ago and asked her about it. She told me it was just because she realized that the people she used to hang out were basically losers.

Anyway, today, I looked at her myspace and her friends were talking about her pregnancy. When I called and asked her, she told me she's been pregnant for 6 months and didnt know how to tell me.
A part of me feels guilty since she got pregnant during a week I was supposed to visit her and didnt because i had to finish school.

Theres no chance that we can be in a relationship now, but i'm wondering if i should still at least support her emotionally?

if ur not the father of her unborn child, then u dont have to support her emotionally or physically if u dont want to. u have a chioce. if u still love her like u use to then do what ur gut tells u. is the guy she is pregnant bye still there? if u had an open relationship with this girl but she was ur "main attraction" and vice versa then she should have been able to call u when she found out and told u. but she didnt so exactly how commited was she. would she have let a year go bye and still not have told u. things u need to think about.

If you really care about her, then yes you should be there for her but only as a friend. Would you have told her you knocked someone up when she was supposed to come down and see you the same week? It's not the worst thing that could happen, but it would be terrible if you let her down when she needed you the most.

Wow...if that was me...nope. She cheated, didn't tell you, she got preggo, didn't tell you and she told everyone else which made you look like a fool. Sorry but if she's old enough to make these decisions, she should be ready to do this all by herself!

Well, you did say that you are allowed to see other people. She just made the mistake of not being very careful. I think you should support her.
