Double clutching, is when you push in the clutch to remove the shifter from a lower gear to the next higher gear, then when the shifter is in the neutral position you let the clutch out and then push it back in and go to the next gear. You can do this going up or down the gears. It works great on the big rigs, but not in a race car. Also you wanted to know about burn outs. Buy a line lock, Have it installed on the front brakes if you have a rear wheel, and on the rear if you you have front wheel drive, and BURN AWAY.

Double clutching is where you press the clutch twice in a single gear shift. You actually press it to take the manual out of gear, and press it again to put it back into a higher gear or the same. It's just a fancy way to shift, truck drivers have to do it with so many gears. When you do it count 1 mississippi - 2 mississippi etc..

Double clutching is for older cars/trucks without synchronized gears, you push in the clutch, shift into neutral, push in the clutch again, and shift into gear. I used to drive my husband's 1955 Chevy Panel truck with a granny gear.

Listen to the motor as you drive it will shift better at some RPMs that others...learn to double cluch in once just a little to take it out of gear then in alittle more to put in back in gear ...keep your foot off the cluch when you are not using it saving the throw out bearing an cluch...

Before you learn any tricks like these, save up enough money to replace your clutch and transmission a couple of times. These tricks will destroy them quickly.

Even if you learned how to do it flawlessly, double clutching will do absolutely nothing whatsoever to help you to go faster in your car.
